What we keep

• If you list a room: the room details and photos, your first name and your WhatsApp number.
• Spam protection: a scrambled code made from your internet address, so we can limit how many rooms one person lists in a day. We can’t turn it back into your address.
• If you’re browsing: rooms you save or skip are kept only on your own phone. We don’t see them.

How we use it

Your room and first name are shown on GaffMates. Your WhatsApp number isn’t shown on the page; it’s only used to open a WhatsApp chat when someone taps the message button. We don’t sell your details or use them for advertising.

How long we keep it

Until you delete your room with your private link. Rooms that are taken, deleted or rejected, and their photos, are removed within about 30 days. Rooms left to expire are removed after about 60 days.

Where it’s stored

On Cloudflare’s servers, which we use to run the site.

Your choices

You can delete your room at any time with your private link, or email us to see, fix or delete anything we hold about you.
